A woman who allegedly married her father after they killed her boyfriend has been sentenced to 40 years behind bars, according to a prosecutor’s office in West Virginia. Amanda McClure received the prison sentence for second-degree murder last week, about two months after she pleaded guilty to killing John McGuire, the McDowell County Prosecutor’s Office said, according to West Virginia news station WOAY.
The prosecutor’s office asserts Amanda and Larry McClure injected McGuire with methamphetamine, strangled him and hit his head, WOAY reported. McGuire’s body was found around Skygusty, West Virginia, in September 2019. Amanda is accused of having sex with her father after they killed her boyfriend, they allegedly got married four weeks after that.
A criminal complaint last year contended the 38-year-old McGuire, who was from Minnesota, died in February, Larry reportedly wrote in a letter last November that he’d taken part in the killing of McGuire. Amanda’s sister, Anna Marie Choudhry, was also charged with murder last year in connection with McGuire’s death, as of July, she was still awaiting a trial.
