The lone-winning ticket for a $235.4 million Powerball jackpot was sold over the weekend at a Publix grocery store in Florida. The ticket was sold at a store Saturday in Lutz, about 15 miles north of Tampa, ahead of that night’s drawing.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, it was the first time in nearly two months that someone got all six numbers correct on a Powerball ticket when 6, 14, 38, 39, 65 and 6 came up in the drawing.
The identity of the winner was not disclosed because that person has not yet come forward. They will have 60 days to do so. The lump sum cash payment is estimated to be around $160 million but the winner can receive the full amount, minus taxes, as an annuity paid out in 30 installments over 29 years.
