“Please do send all your best wishes his way and thank you all as always for all of your love and support.”

While local Spanish reports have suggested that the pair split some weeks ago and had been living separately. The Spanish outlet El Periodico claimed Gerard had been staying in a bachelor pad and has been living a “party lifestyle” since the split.
The couple met back in 2010 when Shakira made a music video for her World Cup smash hit Waka Waka (This Time for Africa). The pair have never married but welcomed their two sons together and lived in Barcelona – as Spanish footballer Gerard played for the city’s football club.
