Tina Turner, the American-born singer who left a hardscrabble farming community and abusive relationship to become one of the top recording artists of all time, died on Wednesday at the age of 83.  She died peacefully after a long illness in her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland, her representative said. The actor Ray Stevenson, who appeared in major TV shows such as Rome, Vikings and Dexter, has died aged 58. He was known for roles in the Thor films and the Divergent series, as well as several UK TV shows like Band of Gold, Peak Practice and Murphy’s Law. His US-based publicist firm, Viewpoint, confirmed his death, but did not provide any further details. Nintendo has announced its latest game in the Zelda series has sold more than 10 million copies in just three days. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom had become the fastest-selling Zelda game so far, it said. Ed Sheeran wins Thinking Out Loud copyright case

Ed Sheeran did not copy Marvin Gaye’s Let’s Get It On when composing Thinking Out Loud, a US court has ruled. The British singer-songwriter had denied stealing elements of the song for his 2014 worldwide hit. Heirs of Gaye’s co-writer argued that Sheeran, Warner Music Group and Sony Music Publishing owed them money for copyright infringement. MasterChef Australia will air its new season on Sunday, six days after the sudden death of one of its hosts, award-winning chef Jock Zonfrillo. The 7 May premiere has the “full support” of the 46-year-old Scotsman’s family, broadcaster Network 10 said. A tribute show will air one hour before the MasterChef Australia season begins. A creator and star of MTV’s show Jackass has turned himself into Pennsylvania police over an alleged physical confrontation with his brother, officials said on Thursday. A warrant was issued for Brandon “Bam” Margera’s arrest on Monday, according to court documents. The reality star was released on bond after bail was set at $50,000. Crowds enjoying a live performance at Disneyland in California were left stunned on Saturday night when a giant animatronic dragon caught fire. Videos online show Maleficent, the 45ft (13m) fire-breathing dragon, quickly being engulfed in flames, as firefighters try to control the blaze. K-pop star Moonbin has died at the age of 25, his record label has announced. He was found unresponsive by his manager at his apartment in Seoul on Wednesday night, South Korean media quoted police as saying. “He appears to have taken his own life but an autopsy is being reviewed to determine the exact cause of death,” police said. US popstar Aaron Carter accidentally drowned in his bathtub because of drugs he had taken, a coroner’s report says. Carter, 34, the younger brother of the Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter, was found dead at his home in Lancaster, California on November 5. The autopsy has now revealed that his death was caused by drowning due to the effects of sedatives he had taken and gas he had inhaled.
